José Pío Gurruchaga

Founder of the Parish Auxiliaries of Christ the Priest

José Pío Gurruchaga was an energetic Basque priest of the 20th century to whom we owe the foundation of one of the most active congregations today: the Parish Auxiliaries of Christ the Priest. Its members give invaluable service in many parishes in various countries of Europe and Latin-America.

The program traces the stages of his fertile apostolate, with few material resources and surrounded by contradictions. His extraordinary virtues led to the initiation of his cause for beatification, already in its roman phase.
