20 May Valientes, a Finalist at the 2026 Cinemanet Awards

The documentary film *Brave*, produced by Goya Producciones, was a finalist for the “How Beautiful It Is to Live” Special Award in the International category at the 2026 Cinemanet Awards.
This award recognizes productions that stand out for their defense of human dignity, the family, and transcendent values. The award was ultimately given to the animated film Flow, while Valientes shared finalist status alongside titles such as Hamnet, Solo Javier, and Un Simple Accidente.
Directed by Andrés Garrigó, Valientes features testimonies from people who defend life, freedom, and Christian values in particularly difficult contexts, offering a hopeful portrait of the commitment of many men and women to truth and the common good.
The nomination as a finalist in these prestigious awards represents further recognition of Goya Producciones’ work in its mission to bring to the screen stories that inspire, strengthen faith, and promote a culture of life.
This year, the 2026 CinemaNet Awards honored *Sorda*, *Los domingos*, *Te protegerán mis alas*, *Flow*, and film critic Juan Orellana at a gala held in Madrid to mark the 30th anniversary of CinemaNet, an organization that promotes cinema with values, open to human dignity and transcendence. The gala also recognized the humanistic career of Juan Orellana, film critic and professor, for his profoundly human perspective and his advocacy for cinema capable of illuminating the human experience.
