The President of the Council, Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia, in a letter addressed to the Goya Producciones director, Andrés Garrigó, states that these documentaries can now bear the endorsement: “Under the patronage of the Pontifical Council for the Family”. It is a recognition from the Holy See for their interest and pastoral value, although it doesn’t entail financial support.
Monsignor Paglia also expressed in his letter to the director, dated the 15th of January, 2014, his “gratitude for your work to the service of the Family and Life”.
This recognition proves that the issues about Family and Life have high priority on Pope Francis’ agenda. For that reason he has called the Bishops for an extraordinary Synod focused on the pastoral care of the Family.
