09 Feb Major Cinematic Campaign

The Intercontinental Guadalupan Novena Bears Its First Fruits in Spain Through a Major Cinematic Campaign
First response to the visit: Goya Producciones strengthens this momentum with a major pastoral campaign offering free of charge the screening license of the film Guadalupe: Mother of Humanity and a replica tilma of the original image, to be screened and displayed in parishes.
Goya Producciones has launched in Spain a major pastoral campaign addressed exclusively to parishes, with the aim that the recent visit of the Intercontinental Guadalupan Novena may not remain a one-off event, but rather bear real and lasting fruit in parish communities, on the path toward the Fifth Centenary of the Guadalupan Event (1531–2031).
A Major Pastoral Campaign So That the Visit May Bear Fruit in Parishes
As a direct response to this ecclesial moment, and in collaboration with Fundación Telefamilia and the initiative “Caring for Parishes” of encristiano.com, Goya Producciones launches this campaign with a clear evangelizing purpose: to be a living echo of the Intercontinental Guadalupan Novena in Spain, to actively collaborate in evangelization through Guadalupan devotion, and to help parishes rediscover the messages, symbols, and mysteries contained in the Guadalupan Event, especially with a view toward the year 2031.
What the Campaign Consists Of
The campaign makes available to parishes, completely free of charge, a complete pastoral package for organizing a community evangelizing event:
- Screening license for the film Guadalupe: Mother of Humanity (usual value: €60.00).
- Family-size tilma, a replica of the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe (valued at €96.80).
The film offers an accessible and informative approach to the Guadalupan Event, highlighting its historical, spiritual, and pastoral significance, and helping viewers understand why Our Lady of Guadalupe remains today a sign of hope, unity, and living faith for millions of people.
The campaign will be available throughout Lent and Easter 2026 and while supplies last, therefore early application is recommended.

Why Now?
The recent visit of the Intercontinental Guadalupan Novena to Spain provides a providential opportunity to rediscover Our Lady of Guadalupe not only as a historical devotion, but as a living and timely message, capable of strengthening the bonds between peoples united by faith and of offering a message deeply needed in our time.
Nearly five hundred years after the Guadalupan Event, scientific and technological advances have made it possible to study the tilma in greater depth, revealing details previously unknown, such as the figures reflected in the Virgin’s eyes. Among them stands out the image of a family, interpreted as a call to protect the family and to recognize the essential role of the mother as the heart of the home.
At a time marked by the fragility of family bonds, this discovery gives renewed relevance to the Guadalupan message and explains the urgency of responding now, transforming the recent visit into a concrete pastoral action that helps parishes rediscover and pass on this message for our time, as addressed in the film Guadalupe: Mother of Humanity.

Pastoral Objective
The purpose of this campaign is to make the Guadalupan devotion better known and, through cinema as an evangelizing tool, to help parishes prepare with spiritual depth and a strong sense of community for the upcoming Guadalupan anniversary. The initiative seeks to foster gatherings that encourage prayer, personal conversion, and parish life, making the parish a true place of welcome and proclamation.
Conditions of Participation
The campaign is addressed exclusively to parishes and requires:
- Registration in the “Caring for Parishes” program, in collaboration with encristiano.com, Goya Producciones, and Fundación Telefamilia.
- Advance preparation of the event, the screening itself, and the submission of a photograph of the event.
- Blessing the tilma and leaving it on display in the parish as a visible and lasting sign of this devotion.
The tilma is offered thanks to the collaboration with the same manufacturer that supplies the tilmas for the Intercontinental Guadalupan Novena, Made by Catholics, creators of the tilma.

Information and Contact
The screening license must be arranged in advance and requires pastoral planning of the event (organization, promotion, execution, license registration, shipment of the tilma and materials).

What Is the Intercontinental Guadalupan Novena?
The Intercontinental Guadalupan Novena is an ecclesial process of preparation for the Fifth Centenary of the Guadalupan Event (1531–2031). It seeks to promote an informed devotion, formation, research, and dissemination of the devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, with the aim of reaching different countries and pastoral realities. It runs from December 12, 2022, to December 12, 2031, with a view toward the 500th anniversary of the apparitions to Saint Juan Diego.
A Visit with Ecclesial and Institutional Significance
Within this initiative, Spain has recently welcomed a visit marked by gestures of great symbolic value. In Valladolid, the National Basilica-Shrine of the Great Promise formalized its twinning with the Insigne and National Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico, with the aim of promoting and spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady of Guadalupe, strengthening prayer and fraternity between both peoples. The agreement was signed by the rector of the Valladolid shrine, Jesús Fernández Lubiano, and the Primate Archbishop of Mexico, Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes, during the visit held on January 18–19.
